The Moy Estuary, a well-known location for sea fishing in Ireland, is superb for sea trout fishing and the sea angling headquarters Enniscrone and Killala are within easy reach as well. Belmullet is another sea angler’s haven. A little further to drive, but you will be rewarded with a vast range of species, up to 38 different types of fish were recorded in the rich North Mayo waters. Small lakes such as Derryhick near Foxford and Manulla Lake close to Ballyvarry are ideal for the keen pike angler.
